The WMSU - Ipil Palaro '08 Champions!

I had never been as supportive as an adviser. But my effort truly paid off. Our team managed to win almost all the events. From 9 contests in the Literary-Musical Night, Trojans bagged 4 first places, with the Speech Choir as its biggest win. The team also reaped championship titles in men's basketball, table tennis and badminton. The lady-Trojans were also champions in volleyball, softball and table tennis. Jaducana (who also played baskeball and volleyball ), Bernardo (also played basketball, volleyball, and sepak) and Pausal reigned supreme in the track and field. The team was composed of the pedagogues (BEED IV), the hackers (BSCS II) and the builders (BSCE II and V).

Trojans won over the Titans, Spartans and Athenians (in order of places), despite the team's giving out of two games in men's softball (by default) due to lack of players. Our team has really given justice to our tag: "Born Champions". I have to give the greatest credit to the BEED IV, who never said "never" to join in the events, and performed to their highest energy levels.

The Palaro had its opening last Sept 26 and was finalized by a victory party on the night of September 28.
